Allen takes an Indefinite Leave

Allen Iverson's career has been put on hold indefinitely due to ongoing issues with his daughter's health. In a statement, the Sixers confirmed that Iverson has been given a leave from the team indefinitely to deal with a personal issue related to the health of his young daughter.

"At this time, we feel that it is in the best interest of the Sixers, Allen and his family that he be allowed to deal with a very serious issue that is far greater than the game of basketball," team president and general manager Ed Stefanski states.
According to Yahoo! Sports, Sixers' coach Eddie Jordan addressed the team on Sunday (February 21), telling players that there was a chance Iverson would not return to the team. Iverson missed five games and the 2010 All-Star Game in which he was voted to start in earlier this month to deal with his daughter's health problems. At press time, the time frame of A.I.'s absence as well as the problem ailing his 4-year-old daughter Messiah has not been disclosed.

I really hope his little girl recovers....
