Wyclef continues to explain

He’s working overtime to help those affected by the earthquake in Haiti, and Wyclef Jean says his Yele organization has always been on the up and up. During a news conference yesterday, the Fugees hitmaker tearfully defended his charity, saying that while they’ve had a few slip-ups, they’re definitely not corrupt “Did we make mistakes? Yes. Did I ever use any of Yele’s money for personal benefits? Absolutely not,” Jean declared. “Yele’s books are open and transparent, and we have been a clean bill of health by an external auditor every year since we started.”

Wyclef is reacting to reports that he had used $410,000 from the foundation to pay for rent, production services, and his own appearance at a benefit concert. But he says it’s not true, and is offering the tax records to prove it. Well as you guys know I do have his tax records and they are stating otherwise...so I'm not sure what he means by it wasn't used for rent and his own appearance fee...I just hope he will continue to do right with this latest tragedy and if he was a little iffy before with the finances he keeps it clean now.
