Leni Briatore, the first child of supermodel Heidi Klum, is now officially the daughter of singer Seal. When Seal first met Heidi, she was three weeks pregnant with her ex-boyfriend F1 businessman Flavio Briatore’s child, but that didn’t stop the singer from pursuing the model.
“It’s only happened fairly recently. But it doesn’t make her any more or less my daughter. She always has been. All it means is that both Heidi and I wanted her to have the same last name as the rest of us.,” Seal revealed to The Mirror recently.
As for why he chose to adopt Helene(Leni) now, Seal responded, “It was about Leni. I don’t want her to feel different because I know what that’s like, being a kind of stepson. And I don’t want that dynamic for my little girl.”Leni’s biological father Flavio was supportive throughout the whole adoption process. “Heidi handled everything,” revealed Seal. “And from what I understand Flavio was a gentleman about the whole thing. I have a tremendous amount of respect for him. I’m not talking about in a professional level but just in the way that he has handled the situation, which, let’s face it, must have been really difficult.” “I don’t know if I would have been that adult about it. I certainly have nothing but good things to say about the way he’s been with us and he’s more than welcome to see Leni any time he wants to.”
Man that is such a powerful and good man! I think it's amazing the way he has stepped up but the truth of the matter is her baby daddy Flavio was a punk from the jump. When he found out that she was pregnant he terminated the relationship because he didn't want to have kids with her. I remember being shocked because Elizabeth Hurley was going through the exact same thing with her baby daddy. Seal is a gentleman for keeping mum on the issue. No "real" man in his right mind REGARDLESS of his child being a half sister to the rest of her sibilings would allow another man to adopt his baby. Puhlease, her ex is a buster a certified bitch...mving right along.
