9yr old found bloodied and starved

Last month the Sheriff in Louisiana’s Calcasieu Parish went to investigate a call concerning a nine-year-old boy, living with his father and stepmother in south Lake Charles. What he found was unbelievable. The child, only 38 pounds, had been deprived of meals, at times resorting to the unimaginable out of desperation.
Once inside the house the Sheriff observed a dog leash that was tied from one door knob to another to keep a nine year old boy weighing 38 pounds inside the room where he was laying on the only thing in the room, a filthy foam pallet on top of box springs covered with blood. On the pallet was a bloody and urine saturated sheet. The smell of urine was very strong in the room. The boy was dressed in a t-shirt, shorts and wearing a diaper with multiple bruises to his body and face.
The boy was taken to the hospital where he stayed for 13 days. It was determined at the hospital his body temperature was 92 ° which indicated he was in hypothermia due to malnutrition.

Further investigation revealed his stepmother, Jaime B. Day, 27, of Lake Charles, was depriving the child of food, not allowing him to eat with the family but forcing him to watch the family eat. It was also determined the boy would be so hungry at times he would eat his own feces and drink his own urine to survive.
There was a 2nd degree burn on the boy’s back caused by Day placing a sock containing rice that was heated up on his back.
Day has been charged with 25 counts of cruelty to a juvenile and 2 counts of 2nd degree cruelty to a juvenile. Judge David Ritchie set her bond at $5.5 million. She has been booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center.

Te father, Murry Dalton Day, 30, same address, is being charged with 5 counts of cruelty to a juvenile; and 1 counts of 2nd degree cruelty to a juvenile. Judge David Ritchie set his bond at $2 million. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. He is expected to turn himself into the Calcasieu Correctional Center today. After examining the child, doctors have verified the injuries and the malnutrition are consistent with child abuse. Detectives have determined this abuse occurred from late last year until present. There are two other children in the home – a 4 year old boy who is the biological child of the Day’s, and a 6 year old boy who is Jaime Day’s child and adopted by Murry Day. Those two children do not appear to have been abused. All three children have been removed from the home. Six years ago, the biological mother of the 9 year old boy’s parental rights were terminated when the Office of Community Service determined physical abuse had occurred. Murry Day was given custody of the boy at that time.

I truly wish death on this woman and the poor little boys father. They are the ultimate scum of the earth and I pray that boy gets all the therapy and help and love he will need..so tragic

Booty implants gone bad

Six women from the Essex County area who wanted fuller azzes ended up in hospitals after receiving buttocks-enhancement injections containing the same material contractors use to caulk bathtubs, officials said. The women checked into hospitals in the county after their procedures, apparently administered by unlicensed providers, went horribly wrong, state health officials said. The women underwent surgery and were given antibiotics. No arrests have been made. Different from medical-grade silicone, the substance used in the botched procedures was believed to be a diluted version of nonmedical-grade silicone.

“What a tragedy,” said Gregory Borah, chief of plastic surgery at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Using over-the-counter silicone can cause abscesses that he said resemble “a big zit.”

Borah, also president of the New Jersey Society of Plastic Surgeons, said the botched procedures underscore the need for patients who seek augmentation to have it administered by a licensed professional in a sterile setting.

A plastic surgeon doing buttocks augmentation would make an incision to develop a pocket underneath the muscle and shape the buttocks with inert medical-grade silicone, Borah said. He noted it is a relatively uncommon procedure in most practices and that he has done only two in his 24-year career.

By the time he tells patients of the potential risks — from anesthesia, scarring and silicone shifting when patients sit down — they often change their minds.

Breast and cheek augmentations are the most common procedures, he noted. Borah said buttock augmentation is more popular in some cultures than others.

The state Department of Health and Senior Services did not identify the women or release any details about their ethnicity. It also did not say where the “unlicensed medical provider or providers” performed their procedures.

“Fortunately, these women are being treated and are recovering,” said Tina Tan, the state epidemiologist. “But there is the potential for more serious complications if these infections are not treated early and properly.”

Investigators have not determined if the six cases, which began to be reported in mid-February, are related, but they have stoked concern among officials that such injuries are more common than previously thought.

Health officials issued an alert to state hospitals and doctors about the cases and the potential for more victims.

Marcus said there have been other incidents over the past couple years of providers providing implants of nonmedical-grade silicone, then getting put out of business — only for other shady providers to surface.

“Caveat emptor: Buyer beware,” Marcus said. “If it looks too cheap, there’s probably a reason it’s too cheap.”

Teen girls arressted for cutting baby out of womb

Two teen girls in Columbia are facing attempted murder and grievous bodily harm charges after police say they gave another 18yr old girl a make-shift caesarean section and cut out her baby in an attempt to steal it. A 16-year-old and 14-year-old lured 7-month pregnant Maria Amparo Rivera Girata to a building for a fake job interview. Police say that the 16-year-old, upset that she miscarried her own baby, carried out the plot to steal the child. Girata's hands and feet were tied down with rope, a knife was held to her throat and her infant was cut out of her uterus. She was found alive and still conscious but with severe trauma to her abdomen.

Officials are considering looking for a third suspect with medical experience considering that no organs near the uterus were injured despite the woman struggling to get away. The girls ran away with the baby before being discovered. The infant, a boy, is alive and believed to be in good health.

SMH...there are some sick, sick people in this world.

A Queens murder took a macabre turn Wednesday as cops revealed they are searching for a heart and lungs carved from the victim. The accused killer, Huang Chen, is in custody - but what he did with Qian Wu's organs after the vicious slaying is a mystery, police said.

"The victim's heart and lungs were ripped from the body and apparently have not been recovered," NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said.

Wu, 46, was bashed with a hammer and knifed as she returned home with a gallon of milk on Tuesday evening, sources said. Chen, 47, was charged with murder, stalking, weapons possession and tampering with physical evidence. An undocumented Chinese immigrant, Chen had been tormenting Wu for years, apparently because the employment agency she ran with her husband couldn't find him work.

"For whatever reason, he felt slighted," Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said Wednesday. "And he went back and began this series of harassment, basically threats."

After he choked and punched Wu in 2006, he was sent to El Paso, Tex., for deportation proceedings. Instead of throwing Chen out of the country, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement put him on supervised release, a source said. He returned to New York last week and confronted Wu, who had numerous court-issued orders of protection against him.

Wu's grief-stricken husband, Yung Wei Guo, said he gave the loon $200, telling him: "My wife is scared of you. Don't come again."

The couple reported Chen's menacing return to the 109th Precinct, filing a harassment complaint Friday. But the intimidation campaign came to a grisly end about 5 p.m. Tuesday after Chen followed Wu from a store to her building on 40th Road in Flushing. He followed her inside and, as she opened her apartment door, hit her with the hammer 18 times and stabbed her over and over.

"This individual ... stabs her very viciously, assaults, eviscerates her body," Kelly said.

Chen then went to his apartment in the same building and changed out of his bloody clothes, Browne said. His landlady, Wenxin Zhang, 54, helped him clean up blood, according to a criminal complaint. Still wearing bloody sneakers, Chen was caught on surveillance video leaving the building with Zhang, who was holding a bag. Chen dumped the bag - filled with bloody clothes, a hammer and a knife - at a nearby park. He then headed to New York Hospital Queens, where he claimed he had been robbed and sought treatment for leg and hand wounds. Zhang was charged with tampering with physical evidence. Wu's husband broke down last night as he recalled how his "generous and compassionate" wife had gone out to buy him groceries. He was sleeping because he had to go to work early the next day. "She felt bad I had to go out of town to work," he said through an interpreter. "I told her not to go, but she insisted."

15 yr old boy rapes autistic girl in broad daylight

Police have 15-year-old Anferney Fontenet in custody after they say he raped a mentally challenged woman in broad daylight on the side of a busy street. Ohio police say Fontenet attacked the 26-year-old woman while she walked to the library after leaving her friend's house. The victim of the crime is bi-polar and has Asperger's Syndrome, a form of autism. The boy told police that he threatened the woman with scissors and then proceeded to rape her on the sidewalk while motorists passed by. Police also say the boy told them that he saw the woman walking alone and determined that he was going to have sex with her. Several drivers witnessed the crime but did not stop and help. Some however did call 911 and report the crime. The victim has since spoken out about the crime and is frustrated that no one came to her rescue. She tells the Toledo Blade,

“I'm ticked off because people were doing nothing. Just driving by. What kind of humans are we becoming?

20 yr old man kills entire family

A Texas man has been charged in the shooting deaths of five of his family members. 20-year-old Maron Thomas is being held on $2 million bond for killing his mother, stepfather, sister, brother and niece who was also found decapitated. Police found the five bodies at the family's home in Bellville, Texas Sunday afternoon. A neighbor helped detain Thomas after they found him naked and trying to break into their home by holding him at gunpoint until police arrived. According to autopsy results, all five died of gunshot wounds and the two-year-old girl was decapitated with a machete. Her head was found near her body. Police found a shotgun and handgun at the crime scene and say both were used in the shootings. He was taken to the county jail where officers report that he confessed to the murders. A capital murder charge has been filed against him.

Family dog saves boy from cougar attack

Young Austin Forman was collecting firewood from the yard of his family's home in Boston Bar, British Columbia, when he noticed a cougar coming out of the darkness. Austin knew that was his cue to drop the wood and take his ass inside. But the cougar was ready to rumble right then and there. Luckily, the family dog Angel (aka the second coming of Lassie AND Benji) was there and stepped in to take that pussy down. Angel and the cougar started going at it. But when the cougar tore into Angel Austin screamed for help. Austin's mother, who was inside, called the police. An officer happened to be nearby and immediately came to Angel's rescue. The officer shot the cougar, but that didn't stop the determined pussy from tearing at Angel's neck. So the officer shot the cougar again, killing it. Angel was taken to a local caregiver where she's recuperating from her wounds.

Woman and child tramppled to death by Elephant

Nairobi, Kenya (CNN) -- An American woman and her baby daughter were trampled to death by an elephant while on a forest hike in Kenya, a spokeswoman for the Kenya Wildlife Service said Wednesday. It happened Monday when the mother and child took part in a guided walk near the Castle Forest Lodge, about 65 miles north of Nairobi, Kenya, said Melia Van Leer, a spokeswoman for the lodge.

The mother, Sharon Brown, worked in the library of the International School of Kenya, according to a security guard at the school. Her husband, Jeff Brown, also worked at the school, the security guard said. He was listed on the school Web site as a fifth-grade teacher. Van Leer speculated the elephant was in a herd of about 20 that were spotted later in the day with calves. Elephants can be particularly defensive when they are sheltering their young, she said. The area is full of elephants, but encounters with humans "don't normally end in tragedy," Van Leer said. There have been no tragic incidents with elephants in the area since 2001, she said.

"This area has wild animals, and I always warn my clients and everyone else to be aware of the danger," she said. "But from now we won't allow children out anymore. The young child could have been saved."

11 little girl tried to kill her mother

CLEARWATER, Fla. - An 11-year-old Florida girl and her 15-year-old boyfriend are accused of plotting to kill the girl's mother by setting her bedroom on fire while the woman slept Tuesday, police said. Samantha Broadhead and Jack Ault have been charged with attempted murder and arson after the fire in Clearwater, about 20 miles west of Tampa on Florida's Gulf Coast.

Clearwater Police Department detectives say the young couple poured gasoline on Nancy Broadhead's bedroom floor and bed, and then set the room aflame. Police say the pair escaped in the mother's 2007 Ford Focus. The girl's mother was awakened by a smoke alarm and managed to escape. Authorities say Nancy Broadhead, 47, sustained serious burns and smoke inhalation. Her injuries were not considered life threatening.

Samantha Broadhead later returned to the scene and agreed to go to police headquarters for questioning. Jack Ault was located at a friend's house and taken into custody. Police spokeswoman Elizabeth Watts said a motive was "probably just typical teenage angst." Watts said there was ongoing tension between Nancy and Samantha Broadhead, which escalated Monday when the mother confronted her daughter about stealing some of her cigarettes. Ault has been taken to a juvenile facility, and Samantha Broadhead is undergoing a mental evaluation.

Mother and baby revived after dying during child birth

Denver - Mike Hermanstorfer was clutching his pregnant wife's hand in a Colorado Springs hospital on Christmas Eve when she stopped breathing, her life apparently slipping away. Then he cradled his newborn son's limp body seconds after a medical team delivered the baby by caesarean section. Minutes later, his son showed signs of life in his arms under the feverish attention of doctors. Then he learned his wife had inexplicably started breathing again.

"My legs went out from underneath me," Hermanstorfer said. "I had everything in the world taken from me, and in an hour and a half I had everything given to me."

Hermanstorfer's wife, Tracy, went into cardiac arrest and stopped breathing during labor Thursday, said Dr. Stephanie Martin, a maternal-fetal medicine specialist at Memorial Hospital.

"She had no signs of life. No heartbeat, no blood pressure, she wasn't breathing," said Martin, who had rushed to Tracy Hermanstorfer's room to help. "The baby was, it was basically limp, with a very slow heart rate."

Both mother and baby appear healthy now with no sign of problems, Martin said, adding that she cannot explain the mother's cardiac arrest or the recovery. Mike Hermanstorfer credits "the hand of God."

"We are both believers . . . but this right here, even a nonbeliever -- you explain to me how this happened," he said. "There is no other explanation."

Tracy Hermanstorfer, 33, was getting prepped for childbirth at the hospital Thursday morning and her 37-year-old husband was by her side when she began to feel sleepy and laid back in her bed.

"I was holding her hand when we realized she was gone," Mike Hermanstorfer said. "My entire life just rolled out."

Doctors told him: "We're going to take your son out now. We have been unable to revive her, and we're going to take your son out," he recalled. After the C-section, some of the doctors rushed his wife to the operating room while the others attended to the baby, Coltyn.

"They hand him to me, he's absolutely lifeless," Hermanstorfer said. The doctors went to work on the boy as Hermanstorfer held him, and soon he began to breathe.

"His life began in my hands," Hermanstorfer said. "That's a feeling like none other. Life actually began in the palm of my hands."

Martin said Tracy Hermanstorfer's pulse returned even before she was wheeled out of the room and into surgery. Martin estimates she had no heartbeat for about four minutes. Tracy Hermanstorfer remembers getting sleepy and closing her eyes in her hospital bed, then awakening in intensive care.

"I just felt like I was asleep," she said.

The Hermanstorfers live in Security, near Colorado Springs....how touching! Miracles happen everyday :-)
